I’m Emily.

I’m the voice behind Hungry & Kind. It’s my passion to share with you the joy of our amazing bodies and encourage YOU to be your own advocate.

I am a life-long athlete and vegetarian since I was 7 years old. My body has healed itself from countless injuries & recovered from disease and dysbiosis; upon reflection, I’ve found this both unbelievably remarkable and yet completely intentional by God’s design. We are called to take care of our bodies, and they will respond by supporting our health!

After trial, error and lots of research, I have found the wellness methods that work for me, and continue to learn more about my body daily. I’m aware that what works for me won’t work for everyone. I embrace our bio-individuality — our unique blueprint that makes us one-of-a-kind — and I’m convinced that we are all deserving of optimal health & freedom from restriction and pain.

Movement: I play Masters water polo, practice yoga, lift weights, and take long outdoor walks.

Food: I love colorful fruits and veggies, whole grains, beans, herbs and the occasional salmon. Trying new recipes is one of my favorite hobbies! Oh, and I have a very, very sweet tooth.

Fun: I love to travel, live in Atlanta, and dog-sit! Odds are I’m probably talking to, cuddling with, or thinking about dogs.

Faith: My faith guides me. I believe that God has a master plan for us all, and that we were wonderfully made in His image. I believe God created this earth to be good; it is equipped to fully support our flourishing and we are intended to engage with nature. This outlook guides my understanding of all things, including my practice. I am happy to work with clients of all spiritual backgrounds.
